Andrea Bowen (born Andrea Bowen) is an American actor from the United States. Her first appearance was in Broadway musicals Les Miserables and The Sound of Music. She was first cast as the character Julie Mayer in the ABC comedy drama series Desperate Housewives. This role was regularly played until the year 2008. Julie Alexandra Mayer is the eldest child born to Susan Delfino and Karl Mayer. As a young girl, Julie was the perfect daughter for Susan she was often seen as the mother of their marriage when she cleaned, cooked and even gave her mother dating tips. Andrea Bowen played Amy in the fifth season of Station 19 episode All I Have for Christmas Is You. Melanie Somjen Frazer and Andrea Majanik Bowen were wed on the weekend of St. Stephen and the Incarnation Episcopal Church in Washington.
